Chatham NJ Real Estate and 2007 Home Sales

Most people don’t realize that Chatham, New Jersey is made up of Chatham Township and Chatham Borough.
Chatham Borough is closer to downtown Chatham shopping and the Midtown Direct Train to NYC. Chatham Township is further from downtown with larger homes and corresponding prices.
The beauty of Chatham is that there is one Regional school system that consistently ranks highly, the downtown is lovely and its residents take pride in their green, forested land at the edge of the Great Swamp.
And, Chatham was named One of the Top Ten Places to Live in the United States by “Money Magazine” in 2005.
Personally, it is one of my favorite places to bike ride. I am always discovering new areas and routes.
Despite the gloom and doom of the national housing market, Chatham Borough and Chatham Township maintained their home values over the past two years…consistent with the other communities along the Midtown Direct train line.
